Acceptable Use Policy
All users — including organizers, vendors, and attendees — must comply with these requirements when using EventLuma.
Users may not create, promote, or sell any of the following on EventLuma:
- Illegal Products or Services: drugs, controlled substances, weapons, counterfeit goods, or stolen property.
- Adult or Sexually Explicit Content: pornography, escort services, obscene or exploitative material.
- Fraudulent or Misleading Content: deceptive events, listings, or misrepresented services.
- Hateful or Harmful Events: content promoting hate, violence, harassment, or discrimination against protected groups.
- Intellectual Property Infringement: unauthorized use of copyrighted or trademarked materials (e.g., pirated music, movies, or logos).
- Restricted or Regulated Activities: unlicensed alcohol, tobacco, firearms, gambling, or other regulated services requiring legal approval.
- Applicable Laws: users must comply with local, state, federal, and international laws, including consumer protection, licensing, ticket sales, data privacy, and safety.
- Payment Partner Policies: by using EventLuma's payment services, users agree to comply with PayPal's Acceptable Use Policy and the rules of other payment processors and banking partners.
- Account Suspension / Termination: EventLuma may suspend or terminate accounts violating this AUP, the Terms of Service, or applicable law.
- Payout Withholding: fraudulent, deceptive, or prohibited activity may result in delayed, withheld, or reversed payouts.
- Reporting: EventLuma may report violations to law enforcement, regulators, or payment partners.
- No Liability: EventLuma is not liable for losses or damages resulting from enforcement actions.
- Geographic Eligibility: only users in the U.S. and Canada may create events.
- Draft Flow: all events begin in draft status until the organizer completes the Organizer Application (business details, ID verification, payout info).
- KYB Review: all organizers undergo Know Your Business (KYB) review. Approval is required before publishing.
- Publishing Controls: organizers may create multiple drafts but cannot publish more than one active event at a time.
- Timing Restrictions: events created with start dates less than 7 days away are automatically rejected.
- Admin Oversight: all approvals and rejections are logged; admins may suspend or reject organizers and events at their discretion.
